a long-standing client approached us with a project to build a house that captured the best elements of 1960’s southern california residential architecture while being updated for present day needs for their family. located on a gently sloping site in the foothills the plan takes advantage or the wide lot to provide generous exposure to the yard and view to the south while offering a demure street face. the structure steps down the property in a series of levels with a clear linear circulation spine organizing the layout of spaces.
