the first project in what would prove to be a long successful partnership with the owners. reworking an unfortunate 1990’s addition, we opening the ceiling in the bedroom and bathroom, updated a den below, replaced a non-original stair railing, and installed custom made steel windows and doors. this was before there were many outlets for steel doors so we drew up the fabrication drawings ourselves and had a local steel shop build them. not something we’d necessarily do again, but exciting to develop a language of steel detailing which carried over into other projects.
