a spec infill development initially conceived prior to the economic downturn, the project team took advantage of waiting out the recession to continue to develop the project. the developers wanted to buck the trend of generic modern housing projects in venice and requested a traditional design. trying to avoid both the newport cape cad seaside model and the nascent pinterest ‘farmhouse’ style we opted for a rigorous post-modern influenced facade and a casual interior.
